Linen Fabric
Our Sustainable Approach
The designer today should help to produce less, not more - we have to help to produce fewer and better things. There is a beauty, an aesthetic and philosophy of the less. I feel that we have a responsibility to use eco-friendly fabrics that have a low impact on the environment.
Therefore, using linen as the cornerstone fabric in our collection, was a natural choice. The production of linen uses five to twenty times less water and energy compared to the production of cotton and synthetic fabrics. Linen is also naturally biodegradable, antibacterial and recyclable.
Ethically Sourced Fabrics
We buy our linens from a reputable and sustainable fabric mill in Spain which has been in operation for 70 years. A family run mill, spanning over four generations, where they take special care to ensure that their textiles are manufactured to the highest standards.
All our garments are predominantly made from washed Spanish linen. However, from time to time, we also incorporate linen voile which is a combination of linen and cotton.
Timeless Essentials
Our philosophy is “buy less and choose items that are made to last”. As a result, we have made every effort to ensure that each piece transcends trends and has a place in your wardrobe for years to come.
For women, our basics consist of four classic garments. Namely, a kaftan, maxi dress, a boxy blouse, and palazzo pants.
Our menswear offering consists of three wardrobe essentials. Namely, a pirate shirt, légère shirt, and trousers.
How to Care for Our Linen Garments
Taking care of linen garments is easy.
Normal machine wash cycle of 40 degrees Celsius.
Tumble dry for 20 min on medium heat.
Alternatively, hang garment out to dry on a washing line.
While linen has a reputation for its creases and wrinkles, we like to look at this as a characteristic rather than a flaw. However, if you prefer a more polished look, you can use a steamer or iron on high heat.
